this is one of the ancient (about 250) years old royal family's place known as BHUKAILASH RAJBARI , in kolkata INDIA. It was raja Jaynarayan ghoshal who had shifted his whole kingdom from Fort William to this place known as khidderpore and built one of the worlds largest shiva linga temples (Rakta -Kamaleshwar and Krishna -chandreshwar ,each linga of about eleven feet height).
The 'bhukailash' name was given by Sadhok Ramprashad when he came over to this place. the whole area was about 180 bighas .
the shiva temples were built on the bank of the shiva ganga pond in the year 1781. they were built with black kashti pathar and wetre named after maharaja's father and mother.
The very next year in 1782 maharaja built a beautiful temple inside his palace and placed his kulodevi Maa Ptitpaboni Durga in there.
In the year 1781 eh got the title of 'MAHARAJA BAHADUR' from the then emperor of Delhi.
